Mistakes . . . the Bible, the Word of God is full of mistakes! But it's not what you may be thinking.
Take, for instance, Felix, (Acts 24:24-27), who said to the Apostle Paul,
". . ..When I have a convenient season, I will call for thee." Felix made a mistake. Nothing more is said about him in Scripture regarding salvation. The Bible declares, "Now is the acepted time: behold, now is the day of salvation." Felix made a grievous mistake.
Then there's King Agrippa (Acts 26:28) who said, "Almost thou persuaded me to be a Christian." Almost means coming short. Almost means missing the mark. Agrippa made a grievous mistake.
Salvation is the most important decision any person will ever make and the Person of so great of salvation is The Lord Jesus Christ. "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12) Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the father, but by me."
From Genesis through Revelation there are those who made mistakes with eternal consequences. In Matthew 7:13, the Scriptures ring out, "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and MANY there be that go in thereat."
MISTAKES! MISTAKES! MISTAKES! We are an imperfect race, we all make mistakes, but there is one thing that will never be construed as a mistake, now or ever! That is, taking Jesus Christ as your Saviour. Salvation. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Mistake? Or is your name recorded in Heaven, the eternal home of the saved?
